Teixeira’s status still uncertain

Mark Teixeira just said his bruised right hand feels ok today, but he hasn’t really tested it, and he was on his way to the trainer’s room as he spoke. My gut feeling is that he won’t play today, but that’s based on nothing more than a guess.

Still no lineup posted. The Yankees are facing Gavin Floyd, who grew up right across from Teixeira. Floyd said yesterday he could have thrown a baseball from his house and hit Teixeira’s.

I don’t think Tex will or should play…..

I probably should have rooted for the Sox last night, but I just couldn’t – not with Buccholz on the mound. I suppose I will root for them tonight, but then I probably won’t even pay attention. I can’t do anything about which team wins, so why should I even care? AS to whether the Sox are in contention – well, I think it’s silly to suggest they are out of it. They are still a good team and they have 2 excellent pitchers leading the way. They play the Rays and Yankees a number of times. Do they have to win a vast majority of those games? Yes, but they still have the opportunity to do so.

AJ is not going to change. He spent all off-season working on the change and he spent almost all of ST working on it – I think that’s why his curve never came along. Even in ST, when his curve is usually the first to come, it never did.

    Good morning,

I just wrote a long note on the state of the Yankees. It said it was a duplicate and wouldn’t go through. I am not retyping it..

The umpires everywhere are out of control this year but 3 days before call-ups is just not a good time for Albaledejo to possibly get himself suspended whether or not the umpire was wrong.
