Just got this email from the Yankees…
Tests performed this afternoon by a neurology specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital were negative. Physicians have cleared Posada for competitive play and he is listed as day-to-day.
well i guess this answers the question about Montero coming up.
Damn we all got excited haha.
Good news on Jorge.
if there was a way to get him up, i still think he should be here. with posada day to day, cervelli will have to start. He and Moeller are no threat to hit. Montero may not be ready for MLB pitching, but he is certainly a threat until the pitchers prove otherwise.
So now why isnt he starting tonight? At the least he would have been able to start tonight and then fly to texas. hope he isnt hurt.
I put something out in an earlier thread wondering if it was possible that Jeter was losing his focus because of his relationship with Minka Kelly. It was just a thought and I think I wondered about it when I saw a picture of them together at the US Open and am figuring this relationship is probably “the one”. He’s playing poorly yet still hanging out with her in the meantime. I think it’s unlike what he did in past seasons when he had girlfriends. And now he’s selling his NY apartment which leads me to wonder where he will live when the Yanks play at home.
Anyway, I just saw this comment after the story about Minka freaking out on the flight to LAX.
“This asshat is why Jeter is full of suckitude this year. She’s like his kryptonite. Dump her Jetes. She’s acting like a mental case. And we need you to stop grounding into fu*king double plays.”
I guess I’m not the only one wondering.
since the yankees are basically set for the playoffs, dont you have to sit posada? Can they risk a collision, or another foul ball off the helmet if he is not completely 100%?
I know the offense is in their bad zone right now, but the playoffs are all but a guarantee so maybe they should let posada sit and get healthy.
Jeter is getting married this offseason so it appears she is “the one.”
This is such a dumb topic. People tend to get creative when they desperately want someone to blame.
He was with the same chick last year and had one of his best seasons.

Well, Jeter was involved with the same girlfriend last season, and she was around quite a bit, and he had a great season last year.
He’s just having a bad year.

Buck Showalter forced all the Orioles with girlfriends to dump them. That’s why they are playing so well now.
Finally got home to see the highlights. I couldn’t get game day to work, and checking here for comments was depressing to say the least.
From what I saw, Nova looked good. He seems to have a good mound presence for such a young pitcher. And how can you not love Swish (and Alex for getting on base ahead of him)

And yes, women can and do weaken men, well they leave them feeling weak is what I’m trying to say. We all know what’s it’s like when that love bug bites. Even if in retrospect we question what the heck we were thinking at the time, when it’s happening everything is brighter, happier, zestier, etc. etc. etc.
I remember telling my ex in a weak moment that it didn’t matter where he wanted to move, I was there. And I’m sure I meant it when I said it! However, when it came time to pay the piper, I decided that my bond to my large Italian family cut out all of the places he wanted to move. Needless to say, he wasn’t happy and I don’t blame him a bit.

Gotta do a few errands but hopefully will be back to cheer, well I guess to cheer against the Rays. That’s what I should be doing right now, right? I can’t bring myself to cheer for their competition but I can certainly hope that the Rays lose. And yes I have the ability to do that without cheering on their competition. Oh well, I’ve never tried it before. Ill see how it all works out!
