Merry Christmas from Missouri

Just wanted to wish everyone in LoHud land a Merry Christmas.

I actually opened two gifts last night, and the first was a book on Yogi Berra, which I’m pretty sure my uncle found appropriate because he came from St. Louis and moved on to the Yankees.

Whatever you have planned for today, I hope you’re able to take at least a moment to stop worrying about the Yankees rotation and enjoy some time with friends and family. If not that, at least enjoy a quiet and peaceful Saturday.

In fact, try to enjoy the entire weekend. I can’t imagine there being much baseball news until Monday at the earliest. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Whatever it is you celebrate, just enjoy it.

    Ruby-
It’s Christmas and you have nothing better to do but troll a Yankees blog.

What a sad and pathetic life you must lead. You probably have nobody to share any sort of happiness with. Your life is pointless and your only purpose is coming here and trolling a blog. Some days are bigger than baseball, today is one of them.

Merry Christmas to the LoHud blog! Chad, you’ve made this blog your own this past year. Thanks for everything.

    Let’s go Yankees!

Merry Christmas.I got some cards too. Unfortunately I pulled a David Ortiz bat card. Oh well, it was still fun opening up all the packs. Hope you don’t freeze today. LOL

I also got a Bill Hall and Adrian Beltre. I think I’ve gotten more Red Sox cards than anything. Now I have 2 Andy Pettitte’s and a Granderson. I could just buy the team set but then I wouldn’t get the thrill of opening the pack and hoping for some good ones.

I know exactly what your saying. I’ve spent a lot on boxes over the years hoping for the good ones. After missing more often than not, I started buying and trading for the cards I wanted. It was cheaper in the long run, but I started missing the thrill of opening. So, I recently started buying boxes again.

And congrats on your Andy and Granderson pulls.
