I think he’s a capable outfielder but it isn’t like we’re ever gonna bench swisher, and gardner has been swinging a pretty decent bat overall lately-ish

I’m trying to trade for James Shields in all my fantasy leagues, before 1st pitch.
I admit that I was a fan initially of the Soriano signing. I thought that would give the Yanks an automatic 7-8-9 bullpen. I was dead wrong. I knwo that there is virtually no chance that this guy opts out but I am hoping for it. His comments yesterday did it for me. A disgrace
I wonder if the 2 main reasons why Cashman doesn’t want to bring up Montero is because he mainly sees him as trade bait. He doesn’t want to start his clock and if he’s DHing most of the time Cashman can’t sell him as a catcher in trade talks? Or maybe he is just waiting to get rid of Posada 1st. Who knows but it doesn’t make sense.

They have the two best bats in the aa-aaa arena. Rotate them as DH with one of them catching every 3rd day….

In an interview a few minutes ago with ex-Yankee coach Larry Bowa apparently the day Posada was listed in the # 9 spot, Posada arrived at the ballpark and the media immediately cornered him and asked what he thought about batting 9th. Posada apparently had no idea and was blindsided by the news.
It’s no wonder Posada was pissed. Girardi is a clown.
