Yankees get away with a win

After back-to-back frustrating losses, the Yankees left Seattle with a no-doubt win. CC Sabathia was his old self and every Yankees starter had at least one hit in a 7-1 series-finale win. Almost all of the damage was done in the third inning when the Yankees batted around and scored five runs on four hits, one of them a three-run double by Andruw Jones. Every run in the inning scored with two outs. Nick Swisher homered the inning before and Mark Teixeira had a RBI single the inning after. Sabathia allowed one run through eight innings, almost single-handedly matching the total innings thrown by A.J. Burnett and Ivan Nova in the first two games of this series.

CC is the only one that can go 8 for us, it seems. Great job by the man some call a fat slob.

CC will go 8 today, if not 9. ( said very, very, hopefully )
You know, this kid Pendleton, I think he?s got a future. He just throws strikes, and gets the job done.
Can’t knock his results so far, but he doesn’t have great stuff. I’ll take his results so far anytime. Just shows what a guy can do when given the chance, sometimes.

Scranton takes a 4-3 lead in the 6th over Louisville on Montero’s line single to right and Maxwell’s 16th homer to left center, a 3-run homer.
Joe, that’s been Pendleton’s career. He gets unimpressive outs. very effective.

Pendleton will probably stick around the MLB as one of the last options in a bullpen

And a lot of 13 yr. old idiots that can’t accept everyone not doing great every game.
Called Swishers home run and the Yankee win Swisher will do a repeat in Oakland and Colon and the Bombers will prevail over Oakland.
Scranton takes a 5-4 lead in the 9th inning when Laird pulled an RBI double down the left field line on a 101 <PH fastball off of Aroldis Chapman.
