I’m quickly becoming a little apathetic. Judging by their complacent play, the Yankees don’t really seem to care all that much about fighting to win, so why should I?
Rich In NJ….I feel the same way…I used to get all riled up, but if the players don’t care, and the manager and front office won’t try something new, like switching up the batting order or bringing up Montero, than why should I care??

Agreed. I damn sure hope Girardi and Cash demonstrate at least half as much care as its rabid fan base. Or folks will flat out stop coming to the games, and the Yankees cathedral will be hollow.
Yankees are playing like crap, they got embarassed by BOS and they chuck it up with opposing players as they get their ass handed to him on their home field.
It has to change. If it doesn’t, then there is some serious dysfunction happening in the org.
Binder Joe’s goal is to have a bench of one player – and a pitching staff of 15, about 12 of whom shouldn’t be in the majors. It’s because his binder has spaces for 15 pitchers, apparently, and he needs to fill them up.
All we are asking as fans is an explanation as to the logic of why we need 13 pitchers, at least 4 of which have no business in the majors, while leaving the bench with 2 players.
I would watch the Indians throw a perfect game tonight while striking out all 27 batters, winning the game 500-0 over the course of 17 hours, if it meant that Joe Girardi would be fired tomorrow.
After the game, he would likely say something like, “This is all totally normal. These things happen over the course of the season. You get swept twice in a row at home against the Red Sox, looking complacent and disinterested. You lose 500-0. You strike out 27 times in a row. You DO these things. It’s all part of the game, and that’s why I love baseball.
Also, if it’s possible, could one of you beat writers please watch my Yankeeography? The YES Network thought there was a mistake, but we literally got 0 viewers when it made its debut the other night. I can’t believe that no one would watch a Yankeeography about a guy with a .315 career OBP, a career .350 slugging percentage and a total of 2.4 wins generated according to WAR over my 4 years as a Yankee catcher. Not to mention my amazing four years as the manager of this team, where I’ve managed the team in a drunken state since August of last year.”
4NYY: If the Boss and Martin were here, Montero, the killer Bs and Romine would have been traded for Adam Dunn, Carl Pavano and Mike Lowell. This year.
It looks like the media is also getting apathetic, I haven’t seen anybody ask questions regarding this ridiculous roster – somebody needs to call out Joe and Cash loudly

He would make some moves alright, but I don’t think any of those with the years they’re having would be in the mix. Isn’t Lowell retired ?
Was really looking forward to Norton coming up with that arm, maybe he would have been a replacement for Joba. Never know. Too bad he’s now hurt again.
At least Whelan will get a shot. Don’t understand all these 88 mph pitchers we’re accumulating in the pen.
Logan lives to blow another game, as does Cervelli.
The Cervelli nightmare continues….
We have a light bench. Would rather have dickerson than sanit.
still makes no sense to me to have a short bench, even shorter with Martin hurt.
Why do we need Pendleton, Sanit and Marquez again??
Anyone?

Really? Thank god he got off to such a great start, so the pending slump doesn’t lower his average too much.
Exactly what is the role of Jeff Marquez except to eat up junk innings ?

I need to see Cervelli go, Montero join the team, Jeter dropped in the order, give the kid pitchers a shot…

shameless bastxxds might win tonight.
then after win few series vs. sub 500 clubs, they will be confident to face Sux again, only be swept again.
what a choke, even worse than 2004. Atleast that was a good team.

sanit, pendleton, and marquez. 1 should be sent down.
dickerson will be back I assume shortly…
man I hate andruw jones….

Binder Joe is signed off by GM Cashman. Don’t put it all on Binder Joe’s shoulders.
Ridiculous ! Dickerson belongs on this team more than Jones, Sanit, or Marquez. IMO
Romine should be here as BUC. If he can’t do better than Cervelli right now, then he’ll never cut it.
Pena should be up and let Nunez go down and play everyday, to see if he has a real future with Yanks.
And we drastically need another lefty out of the bullpen.
Time to turn the page for NYY to take out their angst on an over-achieving CLE club.
Let’s see if Joe and the gang can generate at least a smidgeon of a sense of urgency
to destroy CLE over the weekend.
I am out of here.

I’m not bitter. At all.
Dickerson game in last night & got a hit. I was hoping he would get a chance to start a game this weekend. He’s young, fast, seems excited to be here…
How long before he can be called back up? is it 10 days?
We’re not hitting and we have nothing on the bench to go to.
Forgot, Pendleton doesn’t belong here either.
Imagine if the Boss & B. Martin were here !
came… not game
