Koji Uehara traded to Texas for Chris Davis
Chavez was very good in game1. Why should he play two? That’s not what he was signed for.

Talked w source w direct knowledge of Rox Ubaldo talks said w 100% certainty “that demands have not changed since day 1″
good trade for the orioles for the long term…
good trade for the rangers for this year. the rangers are loaded…………………
let the lineup complaints begin…
Andrew Marchand
Mariano Rivera told me that Manny Banuelos is the best pitching prospect he has ever seen. #trades
MG,
Not too bad for game two. is TBA still pitching for the O’s?
tom, I thought it was Britton for the O’s, he was called back up just for this start unless Buck decides to bring Jim Palmer down from the broadcast booth for a spot start…
MG,
He probably wishes he coulc.
“could’
With Chris Davis and Reynolds in the same lineup, that’s power and a ton of strikeouts. Baltimore did help their pitching rotation with Tommy Hunter, though.
tom, if I were Buck I’d use ‘Cakes’ for a couple, follow up with sorinkle in Tippy Martinez and Mike Flanigan, see if Hoyt Wilhelm could pitch a couple, and then close with anyone not named Kevin Gregg

Flsnnigan hasn’t had much to do lately. Maybe he can pitch out of the pen.
Well Blojo and MG you are both liars and idiots as we are two different people and we do not have access to each other’s account.
The $5,000 bet is open to anyone who cares to put their money where their mouth is.
I am surprised you have the guts to show your face here again Blojo after falsely accusing both 86 and Luis of being C R 9.
According to mlb.com it’s Britton.
Last night to watch Jimenez as a Rockie?
I just knew this would flow over into this thread.

There has to be as much life in the late “old knuckleballer’s” right arm as anyone else in their bullpen.
GB7,
Trade for Robin Roberts, that’s a hell of a staff.
Koji Uehara traded to Texas for Chris Davis

WOW, and here I thought they said Captain Uhura!!
GB, they just need to visit the ‘Field of Dreams’, ole’ Hoyt is just waiting for the visit along with Mike Cuellar. Anything to eliminate the ‘Curse of Angelos’, is there a more inept owner in sports outside of Guitar Jimmy Dolan?
How did those phone calls go to the editors WC? My sources say they are well aware of what an idiot you are….
You are right on schedule for your usual banning….
Two teams have enhanced their offers, according to Jon Heyman of SI.com (on Twitter).
Rival teams believe the Rockies match up best with the Indians, according to ESPN.com’s Buster Olney (on Twitter).

Looks like Cleveland may get Ubaldo. . . .
NY had Roberts for 2 months in 1962 and never put him into a game so they either sold him or released him to Baltimore. The old man still had about 50 wins left in him.
GB7,
Robin Roberts, strikeout or homer, but mire SOs.

Roberts would not have been a sabremetric favorite, he could win a game 9-8 or 2-1, he pitched to the game situation…

Lord, that early ’70s baltimore pitching staff was unreal. Possibly better than the 90s Braves….but at least as good.

Be fine with me.
Roberts was worked like a rented mule by Philly, as was Curt Simmons. Roberts in the mid/late ’50s games that I remember, was still throwing hard….real hard. Always liked and wished NY had gotten Jim Bunning from Detroit, too.
who is Jon Heyman and why does he think that GMs tell him anything that is factual?
If I’m a GM trying to make the best deal for my team I am floating all the misinformation possible that could help me make a better deal, period.
Blojo don’t you feel you have given up your right to post on this blog due to your reprehensible false accusations against two honorable posters 86 and Luis?
You admitted to digging into Luis personal life identifying his mother and brother. Shouldn’t you apologize to the entire blog and vow never to do anything similar again?
The 1969 Mets rotation was not too shabby. Seaver, Koosman, Gentry and Ryan.
Nothing new here except more endless garbage and BS from Blojo and MG talking untruths and mindless innuendos. Now WC and I have access to each others account, BS.
the Yankees just missed out on Jason Marquis, damn.
not…

“who is Jon Heyman and why does he think that GMs tell him anything that is factual?”
That’s the thing about that leak, even if it’s true what does it really mean? ‘Enhanced offer’ is generic enough that it gives the impression of being competitive with the Yankees’ offer. I still don’t see anyone beating the package the Yankees would be willing to give up.
West Coast Yankee Fan July 30th, 2011 at 5:49 pm
Blah blah blah…more lies and false accusations…from you…no surprise.
IF you ever touch base with this reality, you might check to see that 86 apologized to me for our little discussion, and that Yanks4ever was the one to accuse Luis, not me. But I guess the facts wouldn’t fit in with your imaginary world and thus be inconvenient.
You really like to stir up fights, don’t you. People come here to joke around and discuss baseball, but you come to stir up arguments so you can lie and accuse others falsely in an attempt to make yourself feel more important, don’t you?
I have to conclude that in fact you are C R 9.
West Coast Yankee Fan July 30th, 2011 at 5:36 pm
Blojo has been off in hiding doing more secret forensic research on bloggers here to falsely accuse others and stir the pot.

Wasn’t it you that posted lengthy information claiming to have identified luis’s relatives identities and other personal information.
Yes or no?
Actually, you aren’t intelligent enough to be C R 9. So never mind.
As far as rotations go, was there ever any better than the 1954 Indians?
Mike Garcia
Bob Lemon
Bob Feller
Early Wynn (always loved his name).
Simple question.
Wasn’t it you that posted lengthy information claiming to have identified luis’s relatives identities and other personal information.
Nope. I said I have C R 9′s info, not Luis….He understood that and blew you off when you tried to stir trouble.
Imagine if Jimenez goes to the Indians? I don’t think he’s coming here regardless……
If you friggin’ b-holes are going to keep slinging vicious personal accusations non-stop, turning this blog into a war zone I’m going to start demanding links that back up accusations. I don’t want to feel like I’m trapped in an episode of “Murder She Wrote” during the most exciting part of the baseball trade deadline.
I’d rather listen to stuart rant in anger until he forms another hemorrhoid.
Aw, I wish we got Tommy Hunter. He’s got the right personality to go with this town and the stuff to match.
Liar. You accused luis.

Have to run out for a while. Try to think of some good material while I am gone…this stuff is lame.
Ummm… Out of curiosity… What is a “b-hole”?
Now WCYF is now C R 9 or so Blojo says he doesn’t have the intelligence to be so. What a complete putz. Time to start keeping count of how many others Blojo falsely accuses, how pathetic.
Anybody thinking baseball?
butthole
Ahh.
Tom, Feller was pretty much on his last legs after ’52, but, those were great staffs, too. feller’s ;ast good season in ’53, reminded me of Catfish Hunter’s last good season. Pitching strictly on guile and guts.

Rockies haven’t dropped demands for Ubaldo in talks with Yankees. Still asking for 3 players (Montero, Betances, Nova). Yanks won’t do that

GB7,
True about Feller, but I think that amongst them they pitched around 60 complete games, and the team won 111 that season

Rockies want Montero, Betances, Nova from Yankees for Jimemez. Red Sox equiv. would be Lavarnway, Renaudo and Weiland

Then why did the Rockies bother scouting Betances’ last start and Nova’s tonight.
Yankees are willing Mr. Rosenthal.
If the Rockies are demanding Montero, Betances, and Nova – what on earth could the Sux offer?
