A source has indicated that Lance Pendleton is also getting a September call-up. He’s on his way to Boston and should be here by game time.

Pendleton will be the long man into the game tonight, when Burnett gets tossed for finally trying to pitch inside and hitting another batter in the 1st inning after being warned!

I guess you can’t consider Ellsbury a pest anymore. He has more, or is very close to more, homers this year than in the prior years combined.

1) Is it confirmed Montero is playing tonight? I have not heard this but see many posts on this.
2) Isn’t Andruw Jones as much if not more of a HR threat and all-around better DH against left-handers than Montero? I understand the hype to see the kid, but Jones has already seen every pitcher in both leagues.

SoS, windows and doors are in. Just waiting to do the bathrooms and save some money up to buy the roofing panels to reroof the house. The roof will be finished by mid-November.
Other than that, all is going well. We’re not allowed to kill mosquitos. They’re state birds down here.

Jack Curry tweeted it and most likely Jones will be playing LF, since gardner has not been very good lately at the plate.

Long term yes…..but for this year Id make Noesi into a short reliever because its already a lost season as far as innings are concerned and Id much rather have him coming into games in the 5th or 6th than Ayala and he gives another option in addition to Wade.

I tried talking young Tom Edison into making cartoons of talking mice and cats and ducks at the Black Mariah, but, he said that would never makeany money, so, I sold the idea to a young catoonist. The check bounced and I never heard from Walt again.

Speaking of bathrooms. My toilet wasnt flushing right yesterday. It was a little plastic piece that was broken(where that water hose fits. I put some gum on it and whalaaa its still in one piece. Granted I havnt flushed the toilet since. True story.
Wife says everything i build/ fix ends up crooked. You can be sure I will never mention your name to her as a man that can actually build a house from the ground up. Last time a built a picket fence It went from 6 feet to 8. Made the excuse that the dog can just crawl under rather than hopping. Better for his feet.

I was a victim of one of those strikes in Italy. I had a small carry-on suitcase that they would not let me carry on because the plane was overloaded. Nor would they let me open it to take out contents. All my luggage went to Naples, while I went to Rome then Catania. In my suitcase were not only irreplaceable writings and documents, but all my clothes including my most prized gray Yankees back to back champions “t’-shirt from 1998/99. Luckily, they located my luggage 3 days later. Moral of story, wear any irreplaceable Yankee gear when flying.
Prufrock, still awaiting SI playoff sched. and yeah, last start dates for Killer B’s. Hoping Bracks gets a call up.

If Montero is our backup catcher next year with most of his time at DH. That would make Cervelli expendable. What do you think we can get for him with the way hes been playing lately? We will include the eyes and his ball of energy in the package.

Sucks that the most vocal fans (e.g. on radio) are always the least intelligent. Usually they’ve watched 25 games on the season and have nothing better to do in their lives than sit on hold until they get through.

SoS, replacing the guts of the tank is pretty simple. Just need a wrench, a cresant wrench an a screwdriver (or a scotch and water will do). The instructions are on the back of the packages. Takes about 30 mintutes….a little more if you have more than one drink.
