X-rays negative on Cano

Robinson Cano went for x-rays after being hit in the foot in the 12th inning. The tests showed no break, but Cano was still hobbling around the clubhouse with the foot heavily wrapped.

In the off season Long has to go to Tex and say these are the moves that we have to make with your swing. Granderson did it and it’s time for Tex to step up and admit there is a problem. He makes $23m a year, is signed for 5 more years and they can’t have him be an automatic out against righties. His swing is a disaster and the organization can’t ignore it anymore.

Guess who’s gonna have a day off?

Mr. Nilsson,…and our closest competitor has serious problems….

Agree Clutch. I don’t think Tex is enjoying his struggles…I’m guessing he’ll be a willing disciple…

    Good news, Robbie x-rays negative….

    Good morning, all.

    Yankees_Fan,

I share your concern with the extra innings performance (4-10) and 1-run games (20-22).

The Yankees have the worse extra innings performance of all potential playoff teams in all of MLB and only Texas has a worse 1-run game performance.

I have seen data indicating the role of luck in extra inning games but one would expect the Yankees to be closer to 50% in extras.

In a time of urgency and need for timely offense, these performances are not good enough.

A rest/ travel day will help.

They won the series and return from the left coast 3-3.

Magic number for playoff qualification is 7.

    Go Yankees!!

the extra innings thing kinda tells you something

they lose when the offense is slumping because eventually any pitcher is going to make a mistake

when you see a 13-13 etc game go into extra innings and then we lose, then I’d be worried. as it is, I mean, it’s a symptom of another issue but not one that needs to be overtly examined on its own

Really just thrilled to be in the position that the Yankees are in this late in the season. It’s been a really good year.
