All quiet beyond the Bronx

Don’t know whether you’ve noticed, but there’s not a lot happening with the Yankees these days. Turns out, that sense of quiet isn’t limited to the Bronx.

Out in Anaheim, Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto says his winter spending spree is over. At this point, it’s trades or nothing for the Angels, who have already given their fans plenty to talk about.

Up in Boston, the Red Sox have traded for some bullpen help and added role players, but they’re taking the same cautious approach to pitching as the Yankees.

Down in Texas, the Rangers offseason seems to hinge on the Yu Darvish negotiations, which are on-going and could determine whether the Rangers have money to make a splash elsewhere.

In the central, the Twins seem to be losing as much as they’re adding, the Tigers and Indians have yet to make a major addition, and the White Sox are largely rebuilding.

So if you’re sitting around waiting and hoping for a move, at least you’re not alone.
