At some point, the Yankees will likely make an announcement about their arbitration eligible players. For now, we only know about one of them.
Phil Hughes’ agency tweeted today that Hughes has avoided arbitration with a $3.2-million contract that includes incentives. It’s a modest raise for Hughes, who made $2.7 million last year.
The Yankees still have to come to an agreement with Russell Martin, Boone Logan, Joba Chamberlain, Brett Gardner and Dave Robertson.
