TIME/TV: 1:05 p.m., YES Network

WEATHER: Forecast wasn’t great, but it now looks like the rain might hold off. It’s pretty windy out here, though. One Yankees relievers predicted this morning that Robinson Cano might be able to hit one over the four-lane road beyond right field.

UMPIRES: HP Dan Iassogna, 1B Eric Cooper, 2B Phil Cuzzi, 3B Mark Carlson

PHILLIES PEN: After Halladay, RHP Joel Pineira, LHP David Purcey, LHP Antonio Bastardo and RHP Phillippe Aumont are scheduled to pitch for the Phillies.

LOOKS AND SOUNDS FAMILIAR: Today’s game is being broadcast by both the YES Network and WCBS radio.

BACK AGAIN: Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera will become the first set of players to be teammates in 18 or more consecutive seasons since Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker played together for 19 seasons with the Tigers. That’s according to Elias.

PREGAME CEREMONY: Before the game, the Yankees honored children helped by the Steinbrenner Emergency/Trauma Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The National Anthem will be performed by Haley Swindal and there’s a scheduled fly-over by two F18 Hornets.

UPDATE, 1:20 p.m.: Hunter Pence is your early leader for Grapefruit League MVP. He just took Freddy Garcia deep for a two-run home run and a 2-0 Phillies lead in the first inning. The Phillies had three hits and were a double away from the cycle that inning.

UPDATE, 1:25 p.m.: First pitch swinging for Rodriguez, and he has his first homer of the spring. He took Halladay to right field, cutting the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the first.

UPDATE, 1:34 p.m.: Good second inning for Garcia with two strikeouts, an infield single and a ground out.

UPDATE, 1:45 p.m.: Here’s D.J. Mitchell.

UPDATE, 1:48 p.m.: Good, clean inning for Mitchell against a group of veteran big leaguers.

UPDATE, 2:07 p.m.: We’re tied at 2 here, and Cervelli just threw out Domonic Brown trying to steal second. Wasn’t a great through and he looked safe from up here, but Cervelli gets the out.

UPDATE, 2:12 p.m.:Mitchell strands two in the fourth and it’s still tied at 2. One good inning, one shaky inning for Mitchell.

UPDATE, 2:18 p.m.: Two Phillies errors and the Yankees are up 3-2. Ground balls don’t field themselves, ya know.

UPDATE, 2:26 p.m.: It’s a 4-2 Yankees lead with Logan in ot pitch the top of the fifth. The Phillies have four errors.

UPDATE, 2:43 p.m.: Cory Wade is out to pitch the sixth, and the second string guys are in all over the field. It’s still a 4-2 Yankees lead. (scratch that, apparently Cervelli is still out there)
