Jurrjens vs. Yankees

TIME: 1:05 p.m.

WEATHER: Maybe a little bit cooler than its been in Tampa lately, but its ultimately another nice day in Florida.

UMPIRES: HP Laz Diaz, 1B Lance Barksdale, 2B Joe West, 3B Larry Vanover

BRAVES BULLPEN: After Jair Jurrjens, the Braves are scheduled to use RHP Cory Gearrin, RHP Erik Cordier, LHP Dusty Hughes and RHP Zeke Spruill.

GET MICKEY TO TECH SUPPORT: Internet isnt working here. Ill try to post some updates through my phone, but its kind of a mess here right now.

UPDATE, 2:02 p.m.: The gun here has shown Pineda up to 93 mph with his fastball and he’s thrown quite a few changeups. He’s allowed one run on three hits through two innings, with a few hard-hit balls sprinkled in there… The Yankees are up 3-1 thanks to two RBI from Alex Rodriguez and an RBI┬ásingle by Mark Teixeira… Brett Gardner has a bunt single and a nice running catch.

UPDATE, 2:24 p.m.: Pineda is finished after 2.2 innings. He’s allowed one run on four hits and two walks, and he leaves with runners at the corners in the third inning. The stadium radar showed at least one 94 mph fastball, but he mostly sat 89-91 again (according to the stadium gun). He did seem to throw a lot of changeups, which is exactly what the Yankees wanted.
