TIME/TV: 7:05 p.m., MLB Network

WEATHER: Clouds in the sky, but not really threatening. Wind blowing from right to left.

UMPIRES: HP Wally Bell, 1B Tim Welke, 2B Chad Fairchild, 3B Bill Welke

BALTIMORE PEN: After Alfredo Simon, the Orioles are scheduled to pitch RHP Jon Link, but the rest of their bullpen is listed as TBA. Could be that most of the guys made the afternoon trip to Orlando to face the Braves. The O’s are a split squad today.

MARKAKIS PLAYING AGAIN: Recovering from an abdominal injury, Nick Markakis has played in just two spring training games including 2-for-3 with a double on Saturday.

THINNED OUT: After a round of 14 cuts, the Yankees are down to 56 players in camp. Kyle Higashioka, who was part of the first round of cuts, is back for the day to be an emergency catcher off the bench.

UPDATE, 7:32 p.m.: Not the first inning Nova was hoping for. He gave up four hits in the first, including home runs by Adam Jones — to dead center — and Matt Wieters. It’s an early 4-0 lead for the Orioles.

UPDATE, 7:36 p.m.: That’s one of the few balls I’ve seen Raul Ibanez hit hard this spring, but it’s still an out to deep left field. He’s down to an .069 batting average.

UPDATE, 7:49 p.m.: Single, sac bunt, single to start the bottom of the second. That’s another Orioles run off Nova and it’s a 5-1 Orioles lead.

UPDATE, 8:16 p.m.: There’s a 1-2-3 third inning from Nova. If he can show an ability to make an adjustment and get himself straightened out, he might turn a negative into a positive.

UPDATE, 8:41 p.m.: Two bad innings and two good innings for Nova, who’s been relieved by David Phelps to start the fifth. Nova retired seven of the last eight hitters he faced, three of them with strikeouts.

UPDATE, 9:07 p.m.: Nothing good about this scene. Robinson Cano has been pulled form the game after being hit by a pitch in either the left hand or wrist. He seemed to be in fairly significant pain at one point.

UPDATE, 9:10 p.m.: Mason Williams just pinch ran for Teixeira and was thrown out by Wieters trying to steal second. Williams stays in the game to play center.
