The move is get freddy off roster.
we should have taken this series yesterday with CC.
Stop fooling around, every win is precious , as you said after being ejected by an incompetent ump.

Time to hit Scherzer. I want to see good AB’s early.

scherzer owns yanks with his multi-colored eyes.

Guess Cashman’s cell phone must be on the fritz. Ridiculous waiting on him to show up in order to make a move 2hrs before game time. This move shoulda been ironed out yesterday, and all things staying the same, made this AM.
Nunez looked Very steady yesterday at SS. His bat\foot speed needs to stay in the lineup daily. Chavez is another Cashman move that simply issa drain on Hal’s wallet and a non-productive use of a roster spot.

yankeefem, Scherzer has good periphs early, despite the ugly ERA.

    Plus a crazy 10.53/2.75 K/BB rate.

Time to hit him, indeed. Payback for October.

  7. J. Alfred Prufrock April 29th, 2012 at 11:07 am

    Sorry, meant K/9, BB/9.

  8. DONNYBROOK April 29th, 2012 at 11:10 am

If Scherzer were a Yankee, you guys would be callin’ for Cashman to Ned Stark ‘em. Forget the “periphs”. In Yankee Stadium this bum oughtta be mince meat within 4 innings.

Hopefully Cash is not on the phone with the Twins trading Mason Williams for Liriano

    C at 9.88/9 and 2.30/9 so far.

Id imagine its either Freddy to the DL….or Eppley back down as he wont be available for a few days

J-Ram should be pitching today for Tampa Yankees, but no listing yet on Tampa’s site. Nice that Trenton’s games are now on milb… We can watch Marshall at the same time as C.

  17. JeterRules20 April 29th, 2012 at 11:24 am

Garcia will have a phantom injury like “dead arm” and go on the DL and Mitchell will be the long man with Phelps in the rotation.

  18. yankeefeminista April 29th, 2012 at 11:27 am

Interesting to see if they indeed do DL Freddy. But I don’t think they sent Freddy for any tests. Eppley seems more likely the choice to be dropped if they are still waiting on medical results/mulling things over.

mornin’ jmv, yessir. Not a bad ride, though, as it never is when you move in a westerly direction.

Very nice ballpark, too, fir tree green seating, an actual upper deck…I’m used to AA and A parks. I don’t make that trip to Scranton.

I’m off for a coffee, but will check in later.

    Bring it, C!!!

Yeah, figured they wouldn’t give up on Freddy yet. To bp makes more sense and Eppley down.

jmv, come on out and we’ll give you the whirlwind Yankees milb affiliate tour or at least the NY metro version. :)

  38. charlestonchew April 29th, 2012 at 12:12 pm

As good as Clay Rapada has been overall in his reduced role, you have to think that Freddy is better out of the bullpen at this current time. Eppley has thrown pretty well, but he’s also not the kind of talent and experience that Freddy is.

I think it’s Eppley for sure who is the odd man out. It will be nice to see Mitchell in a game once Hughes is bounced in 4 innings. (Just kidding, I hope Hughes puts it together next start, but it’s certainly possible he does not).
