The Yankees snapped a three-game losing streak, and all it took was one good inning. A four-run seventh inning — plus another strong start from CC Sabathia — gave the Yankees a 6-2 win in Kansas City. In a non-save situation, Dave Robertson closed out the win. With the game tied at 2, a two-out, seventh-inning started with Eduardo Nunez’s go-ahead triple and continued through Chris Stewart’s RBI single, but the big blow was Derek Jeter’s two-run homer, his fifth of the season. Mark Teixeira also homered in the game. Sabathia picked up his fourth straight win and has pitched into the eighth inning in each of those wins.
