Teixeira back up to fifth

First a few quick notes making the rounds today…

• Former Yankees outfielder a Chad Curtis has been charged with five counts of criminal sexual conduct after accusations he inappropriately touched two students at a Michigan high school.

• Former Mets starter John Maine has signed a minor league deal with the Yankees and will report to extended spring training. He’s a bit of rotation insurance. I believe MLB.com first reported the deal.

• Former Yankees spring training invitee Bill Hall has been designated for assignment by the Orioles. He was a longshot to make the Yankees this spring, asked for his release when he didnt make the team, and got a little bit of time with Baltimore before being DFA.

As for todays lineup, the As have a lot of left-handed relievers, and Girardi said he wanted to split his lefty hitters as much as possible. Thats why Teixeira is back up to fifth.

Derek Jeter SS
Curtis Granderson CF
Alex Rodriguez 3B
Robinson Cano 2B
Mark Teixeira 1B
Raul Ibanez LF
Nick Swisher RF
Eric Chavez DH
Russell Martin C

RHP Ivan Nova

Links seem to not work when I have to update on the phone. Not sure why that’s the case.
