The Yankees won again. This time Ivan Nova did the bulk of the work, pitching seven scoreless innings, making one dazzling defensive play and even getting his first big league hit in a 3-0 win against the Braves. It was Nova’s fourth straight win. It was also the fourth straight for the Yankees, who have won seven of eight and moved into a first-place tie with the idle Rays. The Yankees scored in each of their first three innings. Robinson Cano had an RBI single in the first inning, Raul Ibanez homered in the second and a wild pitch scored Alex Rodriguez in the third.
