Yankees Subway Series road work: The Yankees are 23-19 on the road against the Mets, 17-16 at Shea and 6-3 at Citi Field.

Streaking in relief: Sidearming lefty Clay Rapada has kept batters hitless in their last 20 at-bats against him, a single-season career high.

Update, 8:11: Two two-out singles in the top of the first, but no clutch hit from Robinson Cano with a runner in scoring position.

Update, 8:22: Pettitte not looking sharp early, bases loaded, one out, thanks to two walks and a single.

Update, 8:26: Mets fans happy, at least for the moment. Justin Turner lines a two-run, two-out single into center, 2-0.

Update, 8:28: Mets fans happier, 5-0. Ike Davis three-run homer, looked like it hit off Swisher’s glove at the top of the right-field fence.

Update, 8:33: Pettitte allows five runs, five hits and two walks in that first inning.

Update, 8:43: Two and third and two out, and Jeter bounces to short. The Yankees aren’t fixing their RISP hitting problems so far.

Update, 8:58: A-Rod hits into a double play to end the third. Niese escapes again. Yankees have had five baserunners in these first three innings.

Update, 9:04: Finally a clean inning for Pettitte.

Update, 9:19: Pettitte has allowed no runs and one hit in three innings since his awful first.

Update, 9:27: Yankees go down 1-2-3, no run and five hits for them through five.

Update, 9:39: A-Rod with a rocket over the center-field fence, 5-1.

Update, 9:52: Andruw Jones solo shot to left to start the seventh. Nix pinch hits for Pettitte, who pitched well the last five innings. But the first one counts.

Update, 9:55: Single and now Niese is done, two runs so far, eight hits, 6 1/3. Bobby Parnell is on.

Update, 10:01: Parnell gets out of it, mid-90s fastball to fan Granderson for third out. Cory Wade is on for the Yankees.

Update, 10:10: David Wright RBI double to left-center, 6-2.

Update, 10:15: Miguel Batista on for the eighth.

Update, 10:27: Cano two-run shot, 6-4. Be interesting to see if Francisco comes on with a lead in the ninth.

Update, 10:44: Francisco gets to try to back up his chicken talk.

Update, 10:52: Francisco has a problem, as usual, first and second, one out.

Update, 10:56: Francisco gets out of it, 6-4 Mets win.
