Teixeira and Martin lead comeback win

Mark Teixeira hit two crucial home runs, but tonight’s game-winner belonged to Russell Martin. After a brutal first half, Martin returned with a two-out, RBI single in the eighth inning for a 6-5 Yankees comeback win against the Angels. Martin capped the game by throwing out a runner for the final out. Teixeira went deep twice, including a three-run shot that tied the game in the eighth. Hiroki Kuroda was good except for two homers, including a monster shot by Mark Trumbo that would have been the difference if not for Teixeira and Martin’s big hits in the eighth.
