Robertson: “It scared me, but I was good”

Just a quick update on Dave Robertson before some of you go to bed.

Robertson slipped off the mound in the eighth inning, and for a second there, it seemed like he was really hurt. Even Robertson himself was a little scared.

“I just kind of landed earlier than I normally would,” he said. “It scared me, but I was good.”

Robertson was checked on the mound — he honestly seemed to have hurt himself given the way he stumbled and walked off the mound — but he assured Joe Girardi that he was fine.

“He said he caught his spike,” Girardi said. “But then he said he was OK.”
