Andy Pettitte did it again. He pitched out of a bases-loaded jam, got a couple of double plays and gave the Yankees six scoreless innings in a 6-3 win against the Twins. Pettitte hasn’t allowed a run in 11 innings since returning from the ankle injury that cost him the previous two and a half months. Behind him, the Yankees hit four home runs, including a two-run shot by Nick Swisher that helped build a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Curtis Granderson, Raul Ibanez and Eric Chavez added solo homers to put the game away. The Orioles split a doubleheader today, meaning the Yankees divison lead is up to a game and a half.
