Three things…
Three quick things before I head downstairs to look for a lineup…
1. Ichiro Suzuki has been named the American League Player of the Week after going hitting .600 (15-for-25) with three doubles, two home runs, five RBI, seven runs scored and six stolen bases in six games. Among Major League leaders, Ichiro led all players in batting average, hits, steals and on-base percentage (.630), was tied for second in total bases (24) and was third in slugging percentage (.960).
2. All indications are that David Aardsma is about to be activated. Last night he tweeted that today would be a “big day” and today he tweeted a picture of Target Field. If the Yankees are going to activate both Aardsma and Brett Gardner, that’s two 40-man moves to be made.
3. Geddy Lee walked into the restaurant where I was eating dinner last night. Has nothing to do with the Yankees, but I thought it was cool.

Go Twins Go!!!!
Sweep the Stanks right outa Minny!!!!
More reinforcements to the front.
glad to see you’re back , Chad.
flooded with emails I’d bet…
would pay to see aardsma tweet from the mound
before his 1st pitch like sori
Geddy Lee loading up on Carbs before the big fast Wednesday
Everyone getting back just at the laaaaaast possible second. Love the reinforcements.
Good to have you back Chad.
Looking forward to seeing what Aardsma has to offer.

Tabbert, stranger things have happened. I admire the A’s for what they have done this season with a limited budget. They’ve made themselves a very tough team to beat (particularly for the Yankees). But would I rather meet them than the Rangers or Angels in the play-offs? Absolutely.
Bruce- I agree with that. I also would would be a lot more worried about the A’s if the had brett anderson… that was a massive blow for them.
“spoke to soon… forgot how bad the blue jays hitters are. Rajai Davis batting 5th?! Yea.. orioles will win all four.”
Patience, dear Tab! They’ll get it done. We have 6 good innings for it to happen!
“hughes and Kuroda should really pitch at home.”
kuroda?
isn’t he going to be demoted to the bullpen?
i’d be worried and basically scared to death if girardi started him.
it’s just a matter of time before he realizes he’s not in the national league anymore.
plus he has bad karma. something about not being patient with some waiter. i might have that mixed up though.
Ouch
@BloggingBombers: Michael Pineda has apparently lost his number: David Aardsma will wear No. 35.
Trisha-
I am trying to stay positive here… but geez the blue jays are bad. You don’t really notice those things when your actually playing them because your just so wrapped up in winning the game. But we just need them to win one of these games. That would give us a 2 game lead in the loss column with 9 games to play.
^ WTF? Lol… man, it’s a tough life being Michael Pineda….
Hi guys!
If Anderson is out, it means A-Rod can step into the mound? LOL
Interesting about Aardsma. Let’s hope for a blowout (in our favor, of course) to see him pitch
Tabbert – Don’t forget the part where we need to win all of our games as well! I’m humming ‘Taking Care of Business’ as we speak.
Lineup Tonight looks like something you will see in October. I love it.
It’s Go Time!!
Who gets moved off the 40 man?
In a related story, Pineda also apparently lost the numbers of every taxi company in Tampa.
Tab, but here’s the thing. Alvarez has been very good. If they can scrape together a few hits and Alvarez can stay on his game, they can win it! Easier said than done, I know.
I actually thought the games were going to be at Rogers, which would have been much better for us.

Sick burn.
Hey jmv!
The Tampa Police sure had Pineda’s #.
Shame-
I know… I really think we HAVE to sweep this series and take 3 of 4 from the Jays. I am not saying that it will be easy by and means and its hard to expect a sweep anytime.. but it really has to be done.
Good afternoon,
Three things: win, win, win
LOL, Pineda jokes…. I like that we are at the point where we can laugh about him and not want to cry.
Trish- Alvarez looks pretty good again… nasty at times actually. He is building from his last outing vs the Yanks? He impressed me by getting out of that Jam a inning back.
Pineda might as well have had “bust” tattooed on his forehead. Montero is going to be a star. I hope my Twins trade for him. Thank god Cashman the dunce is not the Twins GM. He would sink 20 million each into Jason Bay/Barry Zito types and we would be screwed forever.
There is only 10 games to go… So I don’t really want to get in a discussion about anyone not on our everyday roster. But, I will say that Pineda is a Yankee and I still believe he can be a Beast and i will continue to root for him and support him. But That’s a discussion for 2013. Lets hope Ardsma takes care of business in that 35!

Nunez DH
Hey luis!
Tab, I saw him pitch some games last season where he looked absolutely deadly. So he definitely has the stuff.
Oh God, do we have another iteration of Ruby Tuesday going on?
This kid definitely has the potential to get a run in.
in related twins news livan has pitched for five teams since the twins made the mistake of letting him go.
i know , i know, what does livan have to do with pineda?
good point, because livan is actually pitching
(though 6 runs yesterday in 2/3′s of an inning probably shouldn’t be called pitching )
Hi trisha!
Hey, luis! The most important thing about that lineup is to keep “DH” besides Nuñez’ name, LOL
The real Stankee lineup:
SS – Jeter
LF – Old washed up dude
2B – Cano
DH – $30M washed up disaster
CF – .220 K Master
1B – Goofball Choke Artist
C – Suckster
3B – Old washed up dude
RF – Old washed up dude
Chad must be dining in the finest establishments.
Geddy Lee has a lot of money. Perhaps he and Chad are in the same
tax bracket.
Lucky Chad!!
Not what you want to see. The killer is that the O’s specialize in low-scoring games.
