Absolutely love this roster.
just what we called for, good job joe.
where is o’s roster or is buck stalling?
no complaints, good job joe. In a year where the Rangers (sort of), Red Sox, Angels, and Rays haven’t made the postseason, we have no excuse for not making a deep run
Great roster. No sentimental picks like Jones or even Nova who they couldn’t trust right now.
Now please get a 2-3 hour rain delay so I don’t miss an inning today because of prior commitments. A nice 8:30pm start would be spiffy.
I think the most hilarious thing are all these O’s fans that are coming out of the woodwork in my life. It’s so adorable watching a collective fanbase who ignored their team until September puff their chests out like they’ve been doing this all along.
As of right now – this is the only roster that matters to date – everything else was prelude – if it took 162 games to get to it – fine – as long as for the most important part of the season the kinks appear to have been worked out.

******
There is an important test for the O’s fans to see if they are real fan. Was there previous lack of apathy due to the team being terrible or because of their disgust for Peter Angelos. If it was due to Angelos – then they are the real thing – - – -
O’s are 2nd in HRs but 15th in total runs scored
I am interested to see how Phelps will be used. Is he going to be used as a long man, or a set-up guy. Maybe both. I think I have more faith in Phelps than Joba actually. I mean, I do have faith in Joba, but he makes me a little nervous. I love Joba though. He is a great guy and a family favorite and I really hope he has a great postseason.
I am sure the pecking order is So, Ro, with Logan and Joba interchangeable depending on Lefty/Righty situation.
I hope Phelps is trusted to get some huge outs I think he can do it.
Of course if all of our starters just want to go 7 strong and hand the ball to Robertson and Soriano every game with a lead, I will take that as well. LOL
It’s going to be a fun postseason.
(Not sure my post went through. I think I had too many links. I’ll try again.)
PREDICTION CHARTS ARE OPEN UNTIL FIRST PITCH OF GAME IN QUESTION.
If you haven’t already predicted, you can still predict for all 4. But your points in the first two won’t be able to be counted toward the final prize. However, since the points go up with each level of the postseason, you might still be okay.
I think I may be able to get all the links to the charts in one post.
O’S V YANKS
A’S V TIGERS
REDS V GIANTS
NATS V CARDS
Trisha— You are really amped up… Take a deep breath and remember we got CC on the mound today & Andy next… We are leaving Baltimore with a chance for a sweep..
Let’s go A’s this is your chance here to really get back into this series. Win today and close out the motor city kitties at home.
Nice rally by the A’s here. If they win today, they control the series.
Man, we missed the boat on Cespedes…. He would look so good in the Yankees OF.
That ump is awfully generous on Pfister’s two seamer. Ball is about 3-4 inches off the corner but is being called.
Im hoping the As win over Detroit for 2 reasons. I would rather the Yanks face them (even though they’d have a West coast trip) and if the Yanks were to get knocked out I would rather the As advancing over any other AL team.
Both the A’s and Tigers would be a dangerous opponent. If they play the A’s, Brett Gardner may be crucial A’s a defensive replacement in that cavernous park. Ichiro, Grandy and Gardner would give the Yanks tremendous range in the late innings with a lead.
Im a little surprised they took Rapada over Epply, especially when the only tough lefty I can remember the Os having is Davis. Epply would be a good situation guy against Jones, Machado, or Reynolds.
My iPhone autocorrect wants to turn every “as” into A’s … Apple is a SF Bay Area company and obviously A’s homers.
I like the way Rapada is throwing the ball. He can also turn around Weiters, who is a better lefty hitter than righty. Frankly, in a big LOOGY situation, I’d rather see Rapada than Logan.
“Trisha— You are really amped up… Take a deep breath and remember we got CC on the mound today & Andy next… We are leaving Baltimore with a chance for a sweep..”
???
If you check out the prediction chart, I predicted a sweep. In fact I said that as soon as we found out Baltimore was our opponent.
I’m not really amped up at all yet!
Seeing Fister pitch reminds me of last year.. still have a bad taste from the way he dominated our bats.
Extremely excited for baseball all day today! we have fill tank of propane and the grill is fired up. Here’s the menu..
Sweet Potato and Zucchini sliced and brushed with olive oil
Asparagus wrapped in bacon and marinated in teriyaki type sauce
organic rib eyes from whole foods with just sale & pepper – trust me you don’t need more INSANE!
chicken marinated overnight in orange juice, lime and spices / homemade honey bbq sauce
also we have
shrimp in garlic lime w/lime mustard dip
seared fresh tune cucumber/avocado salad with homemade wasabi dressing
but that’s not grilled :0)
I think we may have went slightly overboard!!
NNY Girl Penny – wow, sounds amazing.
Have to love Jim Kaat. Wish we still had him on our airwaves.
NNY Girl- What time should i come over?
Oak sucks, go to hell.

What? No way
Is Ichiro hurt or are they crazy?
Dropped the ball. Wow!!!!
Yes!!!
Oak chokes!!!
Wow, I cant believe they went after Miggy. Should have pitched around him or walked him and then threw lefty to lefty at Prince.
JobaTips, you would rather face Detroit over Oakland?
2 run hr here would be wonderful
@Joelsherman1: Bad rumor out. Ichiro is hitting 2d. Gardner was on a graphic in pressbox hitting 9th. He is not starting. Ichiro is. #Yankees #Orioles

I don’t believe that, unless he’s hurt, no way.
I don’t care, can’t stand oak.
Thanks Blake
What a terrible play by Coco Crisp there. HUUUUGE MISTAKE
Reddick looks like he is swinging a bat in a swimming pool.
Would much rather face Oakland than the Tigers….If the Yanks get past the O’s that is….
Cespedes is kinda good
Kind of.
Nobody loves this rally mote than Coco Crisp
Reddick big time
How long can I appropriately mourn not signing Cespedes?
I didn’t want to post after Reddick hit it out because there were 52 comments here. Enuf said.
Austin, it is a group mourn. Have at it indefinitely.

Til we get Justin Upton:….so forever
Thing you notice about Cespedes is that he’s got pretty darn good instincts…. A lot more polished than I think anybody expected
On this big day of sporting events I would like to wish the best of luck to Luis and JMV. They have very important elections in their country and for them I hope it turns out favorable. Buena suerte hombres!
Oakland playing pretty bad
Wow, Oakland just giving this game away now.
Omg, what a game.
Jim” Kitty” Kaat is heads above anything we have in the booth… His observations are spot on…
Coke will cough or spit up the lead.

I agree
Tonight, all affiliated members of Team Greedy get a roll call. I’m heading out for now but fear not.. I shall be back in time to start this game off properly: Greed is good.
There’s always a lot of risk going after players like Cespedes and how their skills will translate over to MLB and it’s a lot easier to say “we should’ve” after the fact.
I do think it’s fair to say that the Yankees made mistakes with Chapin, Darvish and Cespedes and I am not sure I like how conservative the Yankees have become with risk/reward players acquisitions.
Darvish being passed on is still the biggest let down and that one is entirely on Hal. I’m curious to see how he handles this team in the next couple years. Unfortunately, when you have an owner that doesn’t understand the game, they sometimes have to suffer consequences from their action (or in Hal’s case, lack of action) before they figure it out. Hal puts a lot of stock in Cash, but his checks and balances take precedence.
It’s still difficult for me to adjust to an owner hardly participates during the season and really has no love for the game, especially when you’re use to an owner that loved the game just as much as anybody and who poured his heart and soul into his club.
I’ll never stop missing George. I just wish his son wasn’t the complete opposite as him.
