Should this not be followed by a…. “maybe.”
Martin 7th, Granderson 8th, Nunez 9th. The top 7 are same as last night

I understand the format with the 2-3 is rough, but the A’s need to pipe down and stop complaining. Yanks, Nats, Reds didn’t complain.
I saw this stat last night during the game and was shocked.
Reading the stat today has not made me react any different.
A-Rod finished reg. season homerless in last 68 at-bats.
He hasn’t homered in postseason in 65 at-bats.
This post is not 100% correct! It is only at 7:37 if either Oak or SF win tomorrow, if they both lose this game is at 8:37.

Yep. This isn’t annoying at all.

meh, allows me to do more stuff after work. i like 8:30ish.

Me too, Saucy.. I’d just like to know the (finalized) start time since I’m going. It’s not the biggest deal in the world for them to move it since I should know by late Tuesday night..

The gems keep coming regarding Alburquerque’s kiss of baseball. This from Grant Balfour: “maybe he’s got a baseball fetish.” #Athletics

One thing I want to say about comparing this team to the 2009 team….The 09 season was magical, they never seemed to be out of a game, somehow they managed to win every game…This team while he ended up in first place, didn’t have the magical season the 09 team had…So i wouldn’t even compare them, even if they win it all.
How many of you here have heard the news regarding
the A’s ownership is refusing to allow up to 20,000 more fans
to attend their playoff games?
The owner and his staff have decided against selling more tickets to the games and will continue to have the upper decks of the stadium closed to the fans.
Somewhere Bud Selig is laughing at the baseball fans in the bay area.
luis, you should go back to the 2009 LoHud and read some of the complaints here about the 2009 Yankees. In retrospect it was the magical team that could never lose, but during the season… and it was all Cashman and Girardi’s fault.
So I see Arod is being kept in the third spot for at least 1 more game
They just need to think like the 95 M’s

Easy there Rosy, I still remember that Game 5 even as a younger lad and my first experience of Yankee PostSeason baseball. At the end of that game I whipped my Yankee jersey across the floor and yelled how much I hate baseball.
Coney was a warrior though.
Seriously though, that was one hell of a series. Epic 5 game set with the wrong winner at the end.
Arod is not going anywhere.
This is not 2006. That Yankees line-up had more than a few players that could justify
dropping ARod to 8th in the line-up
Guys like Abreu, Shef, Matsui, Giambia, Posada, etc…..
Buck is putting Thome in the lineup tonight.
This is exactly what Tito was talking about when he said it is actually a good idea to stack the lefty starters because Buck would be hard pressed to sit guys like Thome 2 games in a row.
Do we have line ups yet?!
Speaking of the 95 series. I had purchased tickets for both games 1 and 2. Game 1 tickets were supposed to be delivered the morning of the game. I waited all day for them and they never showed up. Called up and found out the driver had stolen them. Game 2 tickets did arrive and did get to see Donnie homer and stayed all 15 innings even though I had class at 8 the next morning
AnthonyMcCarron
Yanks reinstated Dellin Betances from 60-day DL so he can pitch in Arizona Fall League. Cory Wade DFA’d to make room on 40-man.

You bat your best hitter third (Cano) not someone who has little bat speed left
Nick,
I wasn’t posting in Lohud then, so I wouldn’t know…But if the comparisons about this team and the 09 team are based on the complaints, then I have nothing to say. They must have been very similar, especially in the early parts of both seasons…But I have to tell you that that was one of the most enjoyable seasons I have ever watched…13 walk offs? 57 come from behind victories?…Man, that was some season! … It doesn’t stand up to the best teams ever the Yankees have had in the past, but boy they were very fun to watch…Damon’s double steal in the WS ? As I said…Magical
I agree, the best hitter should bat 3rd.
Girardi really likes to alternate between lefty/righty hitters. Can you argue with that logic?
Versus a lefty starter, even more reason to have Arod 3rd and Cano batting 4th.
I’m not saying ARod deserves to bat 3rd. Based on his lack of production, he does not deserve to be batting that high in the order.
On the other hand, the team does not currently have another RH bat that can remove ARod from the 3rd spot.
If you can name that bat, I would love to read the name of this player currently on the Yankees roster.
@AndrewMarchand: A-Rod 3rd, Martin 7th, Granderson 8th, Nunez DH and ninth
Really want to go to the game Wednesday.. Friends are all still in school ( i graduated), or they arent interested in baseball. and Dads away…
Is it weird to go alone? Kinda tempted…

Since we are only talking about when a Lefty is pitching then I would rather see Tex batting Third then Arod and I don’t say that lightly given my feelings about Tex

not really, no yankee fan is ‘alone’ in yankee stadium
triple,
we get it ur a arod hater, next topic
Unknown ~
Epic it was.
Unfortunately, save for the poignant scene upon the mound at the conclusion of 2001 ~that was more about paying reverence to the circumstance of the nation, than celebrating 116~ it remains one of the few shining moments in the M’s relatively short history.
Here’s hoping there are more such moments in the not too distant future…

When did I say I hated Arod? I realize he is done as a hitter that’s all. It is Tex that I am a hater
NYY13251,
Sometimes the best way to go, if you can snare a ticket cheap. Make new friends!
a-rod had a horrible first 2 games of the WS in 09, then broke thru agianst hammels with a 2 run hr, and the next night had a game winnin hit in the ninth.
he may not be the same hitter but I still trust hell produce
Doc and Tomin,
Very true..I figure I can get out of work early and go right to the game. Maybe order a ticket a few hours before, print the ticket at work and go.

I’ve been to several playoff games alone.
Not weird at all. you’ll be around Yankee fans. And you can usually get a better seat if it’s a single.
Arods best weapon is to get a walk.
If he proves I am wrong, I’d be happy to admit.
