A few running notes from the Joe Girardi press conference.

– CC Sabathia has not yet visited Dr. Andrews. Girardi expects Sabathia to be ready for spring training.

– Girardi said he has not spoken to Alex Rodriguez since the end of the postseason.

– Girardi said Rodriguez was totally healthy.

– On Ichiro, Girardi said he was a treat to be around, but he is not sure whether the organization will try to bring him back.

– Lack of crowd noise during the postseason, Girardi said, could be due to lack of offense.

– Girardi has not talked to Mariano Rivera since the end of the season.

– No nagging injuries that we do not already know about, Girardi said.

– Girardi expects all of his coaches back.

– The plan is for Rodriguez to be the everyday third baseman next year.

– Girardi does not expect to discuss his expiring contract with ownership until after the season.
