One day before Hiroki Kuroda has to decide whether to accept the Yankees qualifying offer, Jon Paul Morosi reports that Kuroda has been contacted the Red Sox, ^[2] who apparently also have interest in signing him. If Kuroda wants to test the waters, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get more than $13.3 million on the open market, but he’s a tough player to gauge right now.

Silver Sluggers are being announced tonight
MLB Network is broadcasting the announcement starting at 6 p.m. ET.

Obviously Robinson Cano should be a heavy favorite at second base. Derek Jeter should be in the mix at shortstop. I suppose Curtis Granderson is worth mentioning in the outfield because of his home run total, but it’s hard to imagine him winning one this year.
