From Buster Olney: ^[2]The Yankees are getting closer to a deal with right fielder Ichiro Suzuki. Olney goes so far as to say the deal could be done within a few days. Ichiro would give the Yankees an all-left-handed outfield, but he would also give the Yankees an outfield with terrific range and speed. Even if he’s a step slower than he used to be, Ichiro can still move pretty well. He seemed incredibly popular in the Yankees clubhouse last season.
