Rivera says knee is “95 percent” ready
Mariano Rivera says his knee still isn’t quite 100 percent, but he’s sure it will be in time for spring training.
“It’s not 100 percent. It would be, I would say, 95 percent,” Rivera said today at a youth pitching clinic in Connecticut. “By the time Spring Training starts, it’ll feel 100 percent.”
Rivera told Bryan Hoch that he’s been rehabbing more or less daily, and he plans to resume throwing in about a week.
“It needs more strengthening,” he said. “The five percent will come quick.”
