A few injury updates from Yankees camp.

Mark Teixeira
During a conference call this afternoon, Teixeira explained that his tendon is not torn or out of place, either of which would likely require surgery. “Anyone who’s familiar with this injury, if it completely tears, then the tendon is unstable and you have to have surgery,” Teixeira said. “It didn’t completely tear. It was just a strain, and the tendon is fine. It’s just a matter of letting that thing heal.”

Derek Jeter
Today, the captain went back to North Carolina for a “routine and scheduled visit” to see Dr. Robert Anderson, who performed his ankle surgery. Jeter will be back in Yankees camp tomorrow, but there’s still no exact date on when he’ll play in a game. “It went great,” Girardi said. “He was cleared by the doctor, and he can resume all activities.”

Clay Rapada
Put a second lefty on the injured list. Rapada has bursitis in his left shoulder and won’t throw for seven to 10 days.

Phil Hughes
According to the Associated Press back in Tampa, Hughes went through his regular throwing motion and made 15 pitches from 60 feet on flat ground.

Boone Logan
Also from the AP in Tampa, he resumed throwing after feeling some discomfort in his elbow. Logan made 38 throws from 60 feet.

Dave Robertson
One last note from the Associated Press, Robertson played catch today. It’s a small thing, but a good sign for a guy who was dealing with some stiffness in his shoulder.
