Here’s video of Derek Jeter talking about his ankle and the decision to take him out of today’s lineup. Jeter said his ankle was stiff during batting practice, and he called himself, “the old-fashioned day-to-day.” The stiffness is not directly in the area that was broken in October, but Jeter said different parts of his ankle have been stiff from time to time during his rehab process. He said he could have played if this were the regular season. Sorry for the video quality, especially the first several seconds.
