Aardsma designated for assignment

In the last week of spring training, Joe Girardi did not seem sold on David Aardsma. Now the team has designated Aardsma for assignment.
“He didn’t really fit,” Girardi said. [2]
Make that three bullpen spots up for grabs.
Andrew Marchand is reporting that Shawn Kelley has made the team, [3]presumably in Aardsma’s place.
