I’ll have a longer update with plenty of injury news shortly. For now, here are some player moves for today.

Joba Chamberlain – Going on the 15-day disabled list with a strained oblique.

Chris Nelson – Added to the major league roster. Will be active tomorrow.

Corban Joesph – Optioned back to Triple-A to open a roster spot for Nelson

Ronnier Mustelier – Activated on the Triple-A roster for the first time this season.

Kevin Mahoney – Transferred from Triple-A to Double-A to make room for Mustelier

Brian Cashman said the Yankees will add a pitcher to replace Chamberlain, but they haven’t decided who it will be. He did say it will not be Clay Rapada or Chien-Ming Wang. He specifically mentioned Mark Montgomery, Sam Demel and Preston Claiborne as potential call-up candidates.
