Reinforcements can’t come soon enough. For the first time in the history of his cross-town rivalry, the Yankees have lost four in a row against the Mets. Tonight’s 3-1 loss at Yankee Stadium finished off a Subway Sweep for the Mets and left the Yankees with a season-worst five-game losing streak. Mark Teixeira and Kevin Youkilis are expected to come off the disabled list tomorrow, and the offense could use some help. The Yankees have scored just one run in three of their past four games. Their only run tonight came on Robinson Cano’s 14th homer of the season, while Mets starter Dillon Gee finished with a career-high 12 strikeouts. Vidal Nuno once again pitched well in what is likely his final spot start before returning to Triple-A. Nuno lasted six innings and allowed his only runs on a Marlon Byrd two-run homer.
