Cano hosting off-day fundraiser in New York

Through his RC24 Foundation, Robinson Cano is doing some good work on Monday’s off day. In the early afternoon he’ll visit the MLB Fan Cave with kids from Hackensack Medical Center. That night, he’s going to the 40/40 Club to host a fundraisers with characters from the Marvel comic books. I don’t necessarily understand the super hero part of it, but Cano’s raising money to help kids, so that’s pretty much all I need to know. If you’re interested in the charity fund raiser on Monday night, here are the details from Cano’s agency:

What: The “Super Heroes” Fundraiser and Domino Tournament will support Robinson Cano’s RC24 Foundation, which positively impacts the lives of underserved children and communities from New York to the Dominican Republic, both locally and globally. The Foundation was incorporated in October 2011, and has since established and engaged in various initiatives that expand opportunities for improved outcomes in the areas of youth development and community healthcare.
