Old-Timers’ Day: Nice to see the Old-Timers again, brings back memories for them and for many others. I remember how thrilled I was as a kid when our day camp took us to a department store in the NYC suburbs to wait on line to get pictures autographed by three Yankees, including Roy White. He was 26 then. He was here today, wearing his old No. 6, now age 69. Where’s the time going?

Update, 2:12: Nova gives up a single, then an RBI single to Zobrist after a sacrifice, 1-0 Rays, three batters in.

Update, 2:26: Robinson Cano sac fly to the fence in left, 1-1.

Update, 2:40: Kind of a weird inning for Nova, looked great with his off-speed stuff fanning the first two batters, then gave up a hard single to the base of the right-field fence and a long drive to right-center off a 94 mph fastball, but Gardner made the catch.

Update, 2:46: 1-2-3 inning for Archer, who brought along a 1-3 record and a 5.03 ERA.

Update, 2:52: 1-2-3 inning for Nova.

Update, 2:59: Cano gets intentional walk with Gardner on second and two outs.

Update, 3:01: Hafner flies out to end the third, still 1-1.

Update, 3:12: Nova looking good, two more Ks, one single allowed in the fourth.

Update, 3:18: Almonte now 6 for 10 after the double to the left-field corner with one out in the fourth.

Update, 3:20: Nix hit by pitch. Adams bounces into an inning-ending double play. Not a full house here, by the way, for Old-Timers’ Day, patches of empty seats, especially in the upper deck.

Update, 3:32: Nova gets Zobrist swinging to strand two in the fifth.

Update, 3:44: Both teams one run, five hits through five.

Update, 3:52: Nova has a bases-loaded, one-out problem now.

Update, 3:53: No problem. Molina hits into a double play.

Update, 4:02: Almonte now 7 for 11 in his five games, another double. But Nix flies to center to end the sixth.

Update, 4:05: Logan and Kelley warming as Nova gets the first out in the seventh.

Update, 4:12: Nova gets a big hand, leaves after hitting two with two outs here in the seventh. Shawn Kelley takes over. Encouraging outing for Nova.

Update, 4:18: Longoria walks, which is probably a good thing the way he’s going, although it loads the bases. Kelley is out, Logan is in.

Update, 4:22: OK, it wasn’t a good thing for the Yankees. Lefty vs. lefty doesn’t work, either. Loney lines a two-run single into center, 3-1 Rays. Joba comes on.

Update, 4:30: The Yankees did next to nothing with Archer except for Almonte. Now they get a crack at Jake McGee.

Update, 4:35: They get a single for Gardner and that’s it. Logan, incidently, has allowed 10 of his 28 inherited runners to cross.

Update, 4:41: Wells replaces Ichiro in RF. Romine catching.

Update, 4:45: Paid attendance announced at 46,054.

Update, 4:47: Chamberlain strands a runner at second, 3-1 Rays heading for the home eighth. Joel Peralta takes over the pitching.

Update, 4:58: Yankees go down 1-2-3. Claiborne on for the ninth.

Update, 5:08: Claiborne strands two. Besides the weak bat, Romine isn’t looking so hot behind the plate, passed ball in that inning. Fernando Rodney on to try to close it out and help the Rays gain a split.

Update, 5:16: Rodney strikes out the side. Yankees lose 3-1.
