Alex Rodriguez is out of the Triple-A lineup today, and Joel Sherman reports from Scranton that Rodriguez will go for an MRI on that tight quadriceps that limited him to designated hitter last night. Today was supposed to be Rodriguez’s final rehab game, and Sherman reported earlier this morning that Rodriguez was still determined to be in the Yankees lineup either Monday or Tuesday.

UPDATE, 1:53 p.m.: The Yankees just announced the Rodriguez MRI in an email: Later today at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez is scheduled to have an MRI and an examination on his left quadriceps with Yankees Team Physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad.
