Tonight was supposed to be the fourth in a string of four straight left-handed starters to face the Yankees. Instead they’re getting a right-handed September call-up [2] named Erik Johnson, the White Sox second-round pick in 2011 who’s coming off a 1.57 ERA in 10 Triple-A starts this year (he started the season in Double-A). Same situation for the Yankees — still badly need the win — but just a different matchup than originally expected.
