WEATHER: One last game with a roof.

UMPIRES: HP Brian Knight, 1B Mark Carlson, 2B Gerry Davis, 3B Dan Iassogna

STILL WAITING FOR ROMINE: Austin Romine is still dealing with concussion symptoms and isn’t ready to play just yet. J.R. Murphy has played pretty well as a backup to the backup.

WELLS VS. RHP: Vernon Wells seemed to find his stride again when plugged into a natural platoon role, but tonight he’s in there against a right-hander. “Just kind of going with the hot hand,” Joe Girardi told YES Network pregame. Wells had the game-winning hit last night.

LOGAN GETTING CLOSER: Meredith Marakovits said on the YES pregame show that Boone Logan said he feels fine after yesterday’s bullpen. He could be available for Friday’s series opener against the Giants.

BEATING THE BLUE JAYS: The Yankees have won 14 games against Toronto this season, marking the Yankees’ most wins against a single club since going 15-4 against Tampa Bay and 14-5 vs. Baltimore in 2004. Over the last 45 seasons (since 1969) the Yanks have totaled at least 14 wins against a single club just four times (the three listed above and a 14-5 record against Tampa Bay in 2003).
