I guess that means we’ve seen the last of Robbie in a Yankee uniform.

    I’m going to miss him.

That would a remarkable and stunning development.

I hope that’s not the case.

    :(

Does anyone have the A-rod article from a while back detailing how he came back to the Yankees and all the events that have happened since?

  4. Against All Odds September 29th, 2013 at 12:39 pm

I think it was a Times article.

I relished watching Robi at NYS this past week, not knowing what the future will hold. However, I hope to watch him in pinstripes for many years to come!

Hi Odds, we missed you in the Andy game thread last night.

  7. jacksquat September 29th, 2013 at 1:06 pm

Looks like a spring training squad for a road game with a 3 hour bus ride.

    Hey YF :)

Yea I was MIA but I saw the game it was great. Andy went out the right way.

Listen Up Jay-Z: Even The Yankees Are Offering Robinson Cano Too Much Money

    Squat-

It’s his 1st high profile client and he wants to make a splash.

I really don’t think anyone can do a better job than Boras.

Not sure this was a bright move on Cano’s part.

Yeah I know, ask for the moon to start, blah blah, maybe it’s not even real, but I do think that 7/161 offer (if that is real as well) is pretty fair.

Hi Chad. Big fans of the blog. Sitting just outside the press box on the club level.

  14. cofuzz September 29th, 2013 at 1:21 pm

    jack,
it’s still a better lineup than anything the disAstros can throw out there.

  15. MTU September 29th, 2013 at 1:22 pm

The amount of money a player can get is based upon what the market will bear.

All it takes is one dumb owner.

Boras is expert at finding them.

    ;)

    Niblick,
Odds, YF – that better not have been it for Robi in the stripes.

  17. MTU September 29th, 2013 at 1:24 pm

    jack-

It probably is but most agents relish the opportunity to set off a bidding war.

    That’s their particular wet dream.

And the hoped for Modus Operandi.

Awww, aikido. I remember those seats well from my days in Houston. Are you a visitor or a regular?
I used to fill in for mlb.com whenever a road team’s beat writer couldn’t make the trip to Houston.
I was in the press box more often when the Astros were still in the Astrodome, but Enron Field/Minute Maid Park is much friendlier for fans and press alike!

Just look at what Pence just got.

Most would say that is an overpay. But he got it anyway.

    ;)

  20. MTU September 29th, 2013 at 1:27 pm

    And that’s Pence.

    Not superstar Cano.

  21. aikido2kyu September 29th, 2013 at 1:29 pm

Regular. Live here in Houston now. Originally from Carlstadt.

  22. jacksquat September 29th, 2013 at 1:31 pm

Yeah the Pence contract is an unfortunate precedent.

  23. jacksquat September 29th, 2013 at 1:32 pm

And Boras is frankly amazing at his job.

And Choo is a Boras client. :/

  24. cofuzz September 29th, 2013 at 1:36 pm

    NJ to TX, huh?
    Big difference?

  25. MTU September 29th, 2013 at 1:37 pm

    El Otro —–>

  26. aikido2kyu September 29th, 2013 at 1:38 pm

    Hell yes. Love it here.

  27. cofuzz September 29th, 2013 at 1:41 pm

Yeah. I miss Houston. Hopefully I’ll make it back there sometime soon…more permanently than just the weekend trip to Surfside Beach I’ll make next month.
