Let’s wrap up this Tuesday with a pretty amazing graphic about the career of Mariano Rivera. I’d love to take credit for it, but the whole thing seems to have been created by Tier10.com.

These postseason games and their associated series have been one for the ages, And yet all the LoHud could muster up was 54 postings. Simply just a shell of what it once was…

Great piece of art to honor Mo.
I will treat the Tigers as if they are, temporarily, the Yankees. How in hell do you get shutout by John Lackey!!
And Cabrera and Fielder can’t deliver.
Sorry to say, this series is over. I’m preparing for the worst.
Go Cardinals, you are our last hope.

Good Night LoHudders and good morning to Doreen and her Breakfast clubmates .

The Red Sox winning might have something to do with it.

since end of season been saying Cards..RS..WS
looks like I’m pretty good at this

  8. blake October 16th, 2013 at 8:09 am

interesting that two of the teams most likely to go after Cano are having serious offensive issues these playoffs……

St Lou & Red Sox WS…with St Lou winning it all

  10. blake October 16th, 2013 at 8:23 am

Cabrera being hurt really has changed the ALCS……if he was healthy I think things might be different……but as is it’s difficult to see Detroit beating the Sox 3 of 4 games

  11. blake October 16th, 2013 at 8:24 am

Given how banged up LA is it’s also hard to see them winning 3 straight games against St. Louis either…….it does seem like the Cards are better equipped to beat Boston at this point so if that’s how it goes down then hopefully they will.

  12. Doreen October 16th, 2013 at 8:33 am

    The healthier teams win.

Also the pitching has been very very good.

The lack of offense for tigers and Dodgers has more to do with health, but what’s up with Fielder?

They either go after Cano or they don’t, but it will not be because of how they fared in the off season I think. It’ll be because he’d improve their clubs overall and they are willing to be the highest bidder. And then cano has to decide whether a Yankees legacy has any meaning to him, because the Yankees will pay him handsomely, if not the ridiculous asking price of 10/300.

    Good morning all —–

So far no big surprises in the LCS except that Miggy suddenly can’t hit.

Not trying to be a killjoy, but isn’t that poster REALLY cluttered? Trying to fit all of Mariano’s accomplishments on one poster is a daunting challenge, but that thing is too busy for me.

  14. joeman October 16th, 2013 at 8:41 am

every time I see Drew play I like his game even more…need to build up the infield D and get their SPing in place…sorry for the money & years I’m not on board with Cano can get two very good pieces for his price

One day someone might get a 10-year $ 300 M contract, but it won’t be Robinson Cano.

It might be Mike Trout in four years.

very true…right now to me Trout is the best player in the game…..
