A few quick contract details on the Yankees most recent signings.
• Jon Heyman was, I think, the first to report that Jacoby Ellsbury will have a no-trade clause. Fairly predictable at this point. Every big deal seems to include one of those.
• Tim Brown explained the $153 million guaranteed for Ellsbury. It’s actually seven years at $148 million, but it reaches $153 guaranteed because of a $5-million buyout at the end. There’s a $21-million option for an eighth year.
• Jon Morosi reports that the Kelly Johnson deal might be worth a little more expected. Morosi says it could $3-4 million for one year.
