A few health updates from Yankees camp.

Soriano [2]1. Alfonso Soriano was expected to workout today, but he was actually feeling worse than before. He’s been out with some sort of flu bug. “He’s still not doing well,” Joe Girardi said.

2. Bad news on right field prospect Tyler Austin. The right wrist that bothered him last season and forced him out of the Fall League was sore again today. Austin was held out of batting practice. He will be “reevaluated in a couple of days,” according to Girardi. Just a few days ago Austin said his wrist felt great. Sounded optimistic.

3. Young pitcher Nik Turley had a bullpen scratched because his arm was “a little tight.” Girardi did not sound overly concerned, but Turley was shut down for the day.

4. Veteran reliever Jim Miller has “slight irritation” in his calf and was held out today. He will sit out again tomorrow and the Yankees will see how he feels on Monday.
