andruw mccutcheon’s hair would fly into his face it wasn’t tied up.

they shouldnt let him wear that performance enhancing hair tie.

PEDS’s are drugs which harm their bodies and can kill you or affect your health adversely. And those that don’t want to take the chance on doing so, are at a competitive disadvantage versus those that take that risk. That’s not the case with pine tar. Apples and oranges.

Who got DFA for Billings? Daley?

  5. Jerkface April 24th, 2014 at 3:49 pm

Playing baseball harms the body of every pitcher that has ever taken the mound.

anna and claiborne both have options, so nobody had to be dfa’d

    cleats are performance enhancing.

  9. BoJo April 24th, 2014 at 3:54 pm

I find pine tar enhances my performance on dates.

“I just want the people who think pinetar is fine to realize they are arguing in favor of PEDs.”

    +10000000000000000 and DUH!!!!!!!!!

Are you smarter than a third grader?? Unfortunately, a few here are NOT.

Kay just made a Coming to America reference with that dripping hair gel couch scene as per Buchholz.

    Kudos on that one Mike.

unless maybe they are eating it, it’s not a drug.

PEDs and pine tar are not the same thing people…..come on now. This is like comparing Jay walking to robbing a bank…..both are illegal but nobody thinks they are equal

i musta missed the part in 3rd grade where people were using pinetar as a drug.

Sorry #Yankees have to play with 24 players during suspension and I see Dean Anna not on lineup sheet, so Anna/Claiborne likely optioned

    3 man bench.

You need to get past the ‘drug’ aspect and look at the performance enhancing aspect. There will always be people who argue against drugs because of the health risks, fine, I disagree but thats whatever.

What I am trying to get to the heart to is the performance enhancing aspect of it. IF you are one of those people who cares about ‘pure’ numbers or whether guys are doing it naturally or not then you need to recognize the impact that this pitcher grip stuff has on the game.

    Buster Olney ?@Buster_ESPN 1m
In Max Scherzer’s first five starts of this crucial season: 2.45 ERA, 44 strikeouts, 8 walks, in 33 innings.

“What I am trying to get to the heart to is the performance enhancing aspect of it.”

I think pine tar is more performance allowing than performance enhancing…..similar to how batting gloves affect hitters.

Not really seeing that distinction, Blake. Sounds like a cheaters justification to me.
