  3. tomingeorgia June 13th, 2014 at 6:45 pm

    chicken,
How’s rural SC treating you? Anything new on the housing front?

  4. jmills June 13th, 2014 at 6:49 pm

tom, hope all is well, I’m trying to satiate the neighbours the best I know how.

  5. chicken_stanley June 13th, 2014 at 6:51 pm

Hi Tom… good to see you. The first couple of weeks has gone well… several prospects as far as houses… you can get a pretty good amount of house for the money here

  6. chicken_stanley June 13th, 2014 at 6:52 pm

greetings jmills! where have you been hiding?

  7. jmills June 13th, 2014 at 6:56 pm

chicken my friend, I’ve been buried in it on the work front, but das boot has resurfaced for la moment :D

  8. austinmac June 13th, 2014 at 6:57 pm

Mason with a single, stolen base and run scored. O’Brien not looking too good on a curve.

  9. tomingeorgia June 13th, 2014 at 6:58 pm

jmills, That Lancaster make it to England?

    :(

tom, no bad news, assume all is well, I want her back home in one piece!

    _____________

If we get a healthy Pineda in time for the post-season, that would be a good thing. I like they aren’t rushing him back.

  13. JimK June 13th, 2014 at 7:04 pm

Mick, I looked up the Y’s record after game 62, at the time the Y’s overall record when they scored 4 or less runs they were 17-21, They also had scored 2 or less runs in 20 of their 62 games. It may be completely accurate as I just ran down the list of games and scores, then I counted the losses.

  14. yankeefeminista June 13th, 2014 at 7:11 pm

Mason went oppo on a 3-2 pitch after working the count back; very good AB, just keeps hitting.
O’Brien was caught looking on a curveball. interesting to see what adjustments he makes the more he plays in AA.
Manny struck out his first batter looking on a curve and looked pretty good in first inning.

No surprises regarding Pineda. Sadly is a non-entity until/if he ever gets back.

  15. drn20 June 13th, 2014 at 7:14 pm

    I don’t even remember what’s wrong w Pineda , oblique?? How’s that take 3 months?

  16. yankeefeminista June 13th, 2014 at 7:15 pm

    Cervy BB and HBP.

  17. chicken_stanley June 13th, 2014 at 7:16 pm

Tom – I was introduced to “church home” today… A guy was talking up a house across the street from a church and next door to the parsonage. He said “you can have your church home just steps away from your front door”… :)

  18. jmills June 13th, 2014 at 7:16 pm

yf, Prufrock says he might catch my Jays in your town. I’m going to have to ruffle him up a bit :D

“Broken Wing “, … oops, I meant, ” Little Wing “, is such a great Hendrix gift to us all.

  19. pete22 June 13th, 2014 at 7:16 pm

Pineda was unlikely to make many more than 20 starts if he remained healthy, or an additional 15 starts. Now he can make 10 starts down the stretch and 5 starts in the post season. Could work out nicely if he can get healthy.

  20. JimK June 13th, 2014 at 7:16 pm

drn20, I believe it was an upper back issue with Pineda.

  21. yankeefeminista June 13th, 2014 at 7:18 pm

Hi jmills, good to see you. I am watching the Jays right now. I hope to go to the Tuesday game. And agree about Little Wing.

    Bryan Hoch ?@BryanHoch 9m
To clarify, there was no new setback with Pineda. He’s not throwing and will be starting pretty much from zero, so he won’t be back in July.

  22. JimK June 13th, 2014 at 7:19 pm

Chicken, did the church have a bell tower?

  23. drn20 June 13th, 2014 at 7:20 pm

Thnx jimk, it’s just crazy how these injuries pop up and take so long, I thought 20 something kids healed faster :0

  24. jmills June 13th, 2014 at 7:23 pm

chicken, I hope you find the best place for you and your kids. ( Sylvia says so too )

  25. yankeefeminista June 13th, 2014 at 7:23 pm

Another called strike 3 on the curve for Manny. He’s looking good. Austinmac, missed your post. Think Mason’s having superb AB and agree about O’Brien. Looked pretty bad on the changeup too. But the kid is still green in AA.

  26. yankeefeminista June 13th, 2014 at 7:25 pm

Free range, good luck with house hunting.

  27. Pat M. June 13th, 2014 at 7:26 pm

jmills. Are you Canadians loving Eugenie Bouchard ( from Montreal ?? ) as much as some of us Yanks are ???? She’s the next great face of the WTA, oh and she’s heavy eye candy… . Pete22, I’m hoping Pineda still gets 15 starts ( there’s a personal stake in this ) and then of course he’ll be a huge factor come October. Mick, sadly I’m a very high maintenance guy nowadays, lot’s of shots , lot’s of pain meds…..

  28. JimK June 13th, 2014 at 7:26 pm

drn20, there was some speculation on the blog, at least, that the back pain may have been related to his shoulder injury and given the length of time he has been sitting whom ever made that speculation may have been correct.

  29. tomingeorgia June 13th, 2014 at 7:28 pm

    chicken,
If you’re you’re too close your “church home”, you can’t have a beer on the veranda at noon. What would people say?

  30. jmills June 13th, 2014 at 7:29 pm

Pat M, Eugenie is the real deal. Great spirit!

  31. JimK June 13th, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Tom, Chicken could always claim he is having a “sacramental drink.”

  32. MTU June 13th, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Big Mike injured his “Teres Major” muscle for those of you interested in the technical details.

    ;)

I consider it my god given right to have red in glass on my veranda. I heard they can fine you for that in New York. Good golly Miss Molly.

  37. J. Alfred Prufrock June 13th, 2014 at 7:37 pm

Fem, AMAc – Also watching Manuelito. yeah OB looks like every other kid who has yet to come to terms with a curveball.

Jmills -’Dont blame my kid for your troubles; he pushed Reyes as far as 3rd but Joey Bats & Co let the ball drop :)

  38. pete22 June 13th, 2014 at 7:48 pm

” Furthermore, although not yet documented, it has been speculated that pre-existing injuries in professional pitchers may place even higher stresses on latissimus dorsi and teres major muscles, which may be acting to compensate for a glenohumeral internal rotation deficit (GIRD)7″

    http://www.radsource.us/clinic/1111

GIRD can be related to the labrum. Not a Doc but its entirely possible that the teres major injury is somehow related to his labrum history and is not entirely a separate injury.
