Michael Pineda

Making up for that June rainout, tonight the Yankees are playing one game in Kansas City and they’ve drawn a tough matchup. Collectively, the current Yankees roster has hit .252/.315/.346 off James Shields, but that’s including pretty good numbers from Alex Rodriguez. Mark Teixeira’s a career .125/.236/.125 hitter against him. Jacoby Ellsbury: .236/.276/.400.

Tonight
RHP Michael Pineda (2-2, 2.05)
vs.
RHP James Shields (12-6, 3.28)
7:10 p.m., MY9 and ESPN
