I've been covering the Yankees for the Journal News and LoHud.com since October of 2005. Prior to that, I spent four years covering the Mets. Before coming to New York in 1999, I covered the University of Connecticut men's basketball team for the Norwich (Conn.) Bulletin. Along the way I've covered the Final Four seven times, the 1996 Olympics, assorted PGA Golf events, NFL and NBA games. School: UMass-Amherst. Other publications: Baseball America, Slam, Basketball Digest, Sports Illustrated, Sports Nippon, Metropolitan Golfer, Basketball Times and Backstreets.

The Yankees lost a game - and Joba Chamberlain - on the same night in Texas.

Joba Chamberlain will fly back to New York tomorrow for an MRI and other tests on his right shoulder.

Xavier Nady, the greatest Yankee ever, is the co Player of the Week in the AL. He was 10 of 19 with three homers and 10 RBI.
The X-Man shares the award with Kansas City’s Mike Aviles. He attended Concordia College in Bronxville, N.Y., and is from Middletown.

Everybody has seen the old footage of Babe Ruth in his final time at Yankee Stadium. It was widely believed he died of throat cancer.
But a dentist in Westchester has uncovered evidence that shows Ruth died of a different, rare form of cancer and had experimental treatments.

The Yankees took advantage of some mistakes to beat the Angels 14-9 in a wild game. Brian Heyman has the story.
