The Yankees are finished, their 89-73 record not quite good enough to qualify for the postseason. They finished six games out of the wild card. In the newspaper of March 27, I predicted the Yankee would finish 87-75 and out of the playoffs. Not bad.

After Mussina did a television interview after the game, he was the last player into the clubhouse and his teammates were waiting all together in the room to give him a standing ovation.
